About The Position

Powerback Rehabilitation is hiring an Occupational Therapist to provide patient-centered occupational therapy in an in-facility setting. The therapist assesses patient needs, develops recovery plans, and delivers therapy designed to restore, reinforce, and enhance patients’ physical abilities and independence. The role involves adapting care to individual needs, collaborating with peers, making referrals when appropriate, and teaching patients and caregivers skills that promote independence and productivity. The position reports to the Director of Rehab.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by ACOTE standards.
Initial registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
Valid and unencumbered occupational therapy license as required in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

Assess patient needs.
Develop patient recovery plans and deliver occupational therapy.
Design programs to restore, reinforce, and enhance patients’ physical abilities and independence.
Adapt treatment to individual patient needs and the variety of care settings.
Collaborate with peers and make referrals to help patients receive appropriate care.
Train patients and caregivers in skills that promote independence and productivity.
