About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation in Frisco, TX is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) for their Day Neuro Program. This role is part of a multidisciplinary team focused on an integrated approach to intensive physical rehabilitation. The program aims to help patients with acquired brain injuries achieve the highest possible level of independence and community reintegration. Patients are treated for six hours a day, Monday through Friday. The position requires a creative, innovative individual who works well within a team.

Requirements

Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
Certified BLS or completion within the first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans according to patient needs and physician direction.
Delegates and directs all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients.
Designs functional treatment programs to facilitate effective return to community activities.
Serves as an educator for patients, families, students, and co-workers.
Performs other professional duties related to patient care, discipline-specific therapy services, and program delivery design.
Utilizes OT skill-specific areas including neuro re-education, basic and higher-level ADLs, return to driving, return to work, functional cognition, and neurological vision.
