About The Position

Ascension Sacred Heart Rehab Panama City Beach is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist for their Pediatric Rehab Services department. This role focuses on assessing patients' ability to perform independent living skills, designing and implementing treatment plans, documenting progress, and planning for patient discharge. The Occupational Therapist will also oversee the care provided by certified occupational therapy assistants and therapy technicians.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Occupational Therapy (OT) credentialed from the Florida Board of Occupational Therapy prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Bachelor's degree required.

Nice To Haves

Master's OR Doctorate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Assess patient's ability to safely and effectively perform independent living skills.
Design the appropriate plan of care, including type and frequency of treatment.
Implement the treatment plan using appropriate modalities.
Document findings of patient progress.
Monitors and modifies the plan of care as needed.
Plan and/or assist with patient discharge from therapy services and provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and support programs.
Oversee the care provided by certified occupational therapy assistants and therapy 3-Technicians according to established regulations and practice standards.
