About The Position

Banner Rehabilitation Hospital – Tucson, in partnership with Select Medical, is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist for its inpatient rehabilitation hospital. The hospital provides care for people facing medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges associated with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas. The Occupational Therapist evaluates assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans according to patient needs and physician direction. The role also directs discipline-specific therapy services, designs functional treatment programs to support patients’ return to community activities, and provides education to patients, families, students, coworkers, and themselves. Requirements

Current and valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist, or eligibility for state licensure.
Certified BLS, or completion of BLS certification within the first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

Evaluate assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans in accordance with patient needs and physician direction.
Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients.
Design functional treatment programs that support an effective return to community activities.
Educate patients, families, students, coworkers, and themselves.
Perform other professional duties related to patient care, the development of discipline-specific therapy services, and program delivery.
