About The Position

Enhabit Home Health & Hospice is hiring an Occupational Therapist to provide home-based care. The therapist helps patients with debilitating conditions improve their ability to perform everyday tasks and develop daily living skills and basic motor functions, while helping them compensate for loss of function. The role administers skilled intermittent professional services and teaches patients’ families and other members of the health care team. Services are provided according to physicians’ orders and the established plan of care, under the direction and supervision of the Branch Director.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved school of Occupational Therapy.
• Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state where the therapist practices.

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of one year of experience is preferred; less experience may be accepted with Regional Vice President and/or Regional Director of Therapy Services approval based on prior experience setting.
• Medicare home health experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help patients with debilitating conditions improve their ability to perform everyday tasks in the home.
• Use treatments to develop patients’ daily living skills and basic motor functions and help them compensate for loss of function.
• Administer skilled care to clients requiring intermittent professional services.
• Teach patients’ families and other members of the health care team.
• Provide services in accordance with physicians’ orders and the established plan of care.
