Occupational Therapist (OT) - Home Health - Full Time
About The Position
Enhabit Home Health & Hospice is hiring a full-time Occupational Therapist to provide home-based care. Occupational Therapists help patients with debilitating conditions improve their ability to perform everyday tasks at home. They use treatments to develop patients’ daily living skills and basic motor functions, and to help compensate for loss of function. They provide skilled care to clients requiring intermittent professional services and teach family members and other members of the health care team. Services are provided in accordance with physicians’ orders and the established plan of care, under the direction and supervision of the Branch Director. Requirements
- Graduate of an approved school of Occupational Therapy.
- Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state in which the employee practices.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of experience is preferred; less experience may be accepted with approval from the Regional Vice President and/or Regional Director of Therapy Services based on prior experience setting.
- Medicare home health experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Help patients with debilitating conditions improve their ability to perform everyday tasks in the home.
- Use treatments to develop patients’ daily living skills and basic motor functions, and help compensate for loss of function.
- Administer skilled care to clients requiring intermittent professional services.
- Teach patients’ families and other members of the health care team.
- Provide services in accordance with physicians’ orders and the established plan of care, under the direction and supervision of the Branch Director.
