Occupational Therapist, PRN, Inpatient
About The Position
The Occupational Therapist, PRN, Inpatient role involves providing patient care assessment and treatment within an inpatient setting. The position requires maintaining accurate documentation, meeting department financial and productivity standards, and participating in process management to optimize the quality and efficiency of services. The therapist will also promote professional development and education of other healthcare workers, represent the department on committees, and lead staff and/or program development projects. Effective communication and networking within the occupational therapy profession, other healthcare professions, and the community are essential. The role also includes providing appropriate patient care in accordance with age/developmental guidelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university.
- Current license to practice Occupational Therapy in the State of applicable state
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
- Communicates professionally with physicians, nurses, other health care providers and provides quality care for patients
- Ability to communicate with patients of all age groups appropriate to the level of comprehension
- Knowledge, clinical skills, and understanding of the patient throughout the entire span of life
- Demonstrates leadership skills required to manage self and teams to accomplish department goals
- Flexible
- Ability to work effectively with the team
Responsibilities
