About The Position
The Occupational Therapist plays an integral leadership role within the interdisciplinary care team, helping guide patient-centered treatment in an outpatient hand therapy clinic. The role involves assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans and goals in partnership with patients, and delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions. The therapist provides education and support to patients and their families and coordinates plans for ongoing care. In addition to clinical responsibilities, the therapist contributes to staff development, cost efficiency, and continuous improvement of professional practices. Exceptional customer service and collaboration are essential to the role and the department’s performance.
Requirements
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current Occupational Therapy license in the State of Ohio.
- BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Able to multitask with constant interruptions while maintaining a pleasant demeanor.
- Dependable, flexible, and adaptable to change.
- Teamwork oriented; demonstrates tact, diplomacy, and professionalism.
- Strong analytical, prioritization, and organizational skills.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
- Basic computer knowledge and skills.
Nice To Haves
- Hand therapy experience preferred.
- Preferred experience: 1–3 years of job-related experience.
