About The Position
Provides occupational therapy examination and evaluation to determine prognosis, deliver interventions, and update plans of care. Assists the manager or supervisor with clinical and operational issues and works with the manager to improve processes and utilization of rehabilitation services. The position is part-time and per diem, based on visits, in the Early Intervention Program serving Bordentown and Browns Mills. It is on-site at the Lippincott location in New Jersey.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from a program accredited by the AOTA.
- Current New Jersey licensure.
- CPR certification.
- For home care and early intervention staff: valid driver's license, current automobile registration, and proof of insurance.
Responsibilities
- Consults with medical and ancillary professionals, other team members, and supervisors to provide high-quality patient care and effective operations.
- Performs comprehensive evaluations and interventions, evaluates intervention effectiveness, and modifies plans of care as appropriate.
- Completes evaluations, patient records, reports, and other written documentation accurately and promptly in accordance with regulatory and department guidelines.
- Effectively utilizes aides and other support staff as appropriate.
- Communicates with patients and/or their families or significant others, providing education and literature suited to the patient's age, physical condition, and cultural needs.
- Assists the manager or supervisor with clinical and operational issues and works with the manager to improve processes and rehabilitation-service utilization.
