About The Position

Provides occupational therapy examination and evaluation to determine prognosis, provide intervention, and update the plan of care. Assists the manager or supervisor with clinical and operational issues and works with the manager to improve processes and utilization of rehabilitation services.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from a program accredited by the AOTA.
Current licensure in the State of New Jersey.
CPR certification.
For home care and early intervention staff: valid driver's license, current automobile registration, and proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

Consult with medical and ancillary professionals, other team members, and supervisors to provide optimum quality patient care and effective operations.
Conduct comprehensive evaluations and interventions, evaluate intervention effectiveness, and modify the plan of care as appropriate.
Complete evaluations, patient records, reports, and other written documentation accurately and in a timely manner, in accordance with regulatory and department guidelines.
Effectively use aides and other support staff as appropriate.
Communicate with patients and/or their families or significant others, providing education and literature appropriate to the patient's age, physical condition, and cultural needs.
Assist the manager or supervisor with clinical and operational issues.
Work with the manager to improve processes and utilization of rehabilitation services.
