Occupational Therapist PRN
About The Position
The Occupational Therapist I evaluates and treats patients in accordance with legal and professional guidelines and hospital and departmental policies and procedures. The role evaluates and implements plans of care to improve, restore, and enhance patients’ performance in activities of daily living and functional mobility. The Occupational Therapist also documents care and participates in quality improvement according to departmental policies and procedures, and instructs and directs Occupational Therapist Assistants and aides as assigned. This is an outpatient PRN position at Franciscan Health Lafayette East Campus. Care is delivered with a 1:1 therapist-to-patient focus. The role includes mentorship days and the opportunity to work at various Franciscan Health therapy locations. Travel is never or rarely required.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited program.
- Valid license or temporary permit for the applicable state.
- Ability to adapt and respond quickly to changing priorities.
- Ability and willingness to work in a team environment.
- Experienced and new graduate Occupational Therapists are eligible.
