About The Position
Baptist Medical Center is hiring a PRN Occupational Therapist for the Rehab Department at Baptist Clay in Fleming Island, Florida. The Occupational Therapist will support the Acute Care Rehab team and treat adult acute-care patients, including orthopedic, neurological, intensive care, and general medical populations. The role requires prior experience in an acute-care rehabilitation setting. Baptist Health is a locally governed, faith-based, not-for-profit health system serving Northeast Florida through more than 200 locations and six hospitals. Baptist Clay Medical Campus is located in Clay County and opened in 2022.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy.
- Current Licensed Occupational Therapist credential from the Florida Department of Health.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience working in an acute-care rehabilitation setting is required.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of Occupational Therapy experience in an acute-care setting is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients with neurological, orthopedic, and medical diagnoses.
- Provide extensive education to patients and families.
- Work with the multidisciplinary care team.
- Provide in-services to physicians and hospital staff.
