About The Position
Baptist Medical Center is hiring a PRN Occupational Therapist for the Rehab Department at Baptist Clay in Fleming Island, Florida. The position supports the Acute Care Rehab team and treats adults in acute care, including orthopedic, neurological, ICU, and general medical patients. Previous experience in an acute care rehabilitation setting is required by the posting. The role involves evaluating and treating patients, educating patients and families, collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team, and providing in-services to physicians and hospital staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy.
- Licensed Occupational Therapist from the Florida Department of Health.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience working in an acute care rehabilitation setting.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of Occupational Therapy experience in an acute care setting is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients with neurological, orthopedic, and medical diagnoses.
- Provide extensive education to patients and families.
- Work with the multidisciplinary team on patient care.
