About The Position

Team Rehab is a network of therapist-owned outpatient clinics providing physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. The Occupational Therapist provides patient-centered outpatient care focused on measurable health improvements and a positive therapy experience. The role includes evaluating and treating patients, documenting care, supervising aides in specified duties, contributing to clinical protocols and research, and continuing professional development. The position may be full or part time.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
Valid Occupational Therapist license.

Responsibilities

Evaluate new patients, develop plans of care, and set measurable functional goals.
Treat patients, address their concerns, and educate them about their injury, progress, and probable outcomes.
Supervise aides when they provide modalities for non-Medicare, non-BCBSM patients, and oversee their general setup and cleanup duties.
Re-evaluate patient progress, revise plans of care, and reset goals.
Determine when to discharge patients.
Write timely and accurate evaluations, re-evaluations, discharge documentation, and daily progress notes.
Use electronic medical record systems and follow Medicare, BCBSM, and other insurance billing regulations so billing reflects the treatment actually provided.
Complete documentation within company timelines, including within 72 hours of treatment.
Meet a reasonable productivity level; for a full-time therapist treating the typical outpatient orthopedic population, the expectation is 55 to 60 treatments plus evaluations per week.
Help develop protocols for common diagnoses seen at the clinic.
Participate in clinic-supported research studies.
Continue developing clinical skills by attending company continuing education events and using the continuing education allowance for approved courses.
