About The Position

Theracare is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients in accordance with physician orders. The therapist uses therapeutic procedures and assistive devices to maximize each patient's functional potential across areas of life, and works as part of a team to provide Occupational Therapy support and information. Services may be provided in Skilled Nursing Facilities, Outpatient Facilities, Long Term Care Facilities, or Home Health Care settings. The position is associated with a high-rehabilitation-to-home skilled nursing facility in LaPorte, Indiana, serving sub-acute rehabilitation and outpatient populations, and includes Home Health Care services.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science or advanced degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Current state license or certification.
• Current registration with the American Occupational Therapy Certification Board.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated competency in applying the principles, methods, materials, and equipment used in Occupational Therapy.
• Knowledge of accreditation standards and compliance requirements.
• Willingness to provide therapy services in Skilled Nursing Facilities, Outpatient Facilities, Long Term Care Facilities, or Home Health Care.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of experience in rehabilitation is preferred.
