Occupational Therapist role in an acute care hospital setting. The position involves providing care within the therapist’s scope of practice, with possible floating to Piedmont Fayette’s outpatient facility as needed. The unit accepts first-time travelers. The schedule is typically five 8-hour days, with flexibility to consider four 10-hour days. Weekends and holidays are part of the rotation; weekend coverage is every other weekend, and there is no call. Holiday work expectations depend on the number of major holidays occurring during the assignment: work one if one falls within the assignment, both if two fall within it, and two if three fall within it. Up to seven days of requested time off may be considered. Full compliance is required before the start date; if compliance is not completed in time, the start may be pushed back two weeks because orientation is biweekly. Non-billable orientation hours depend on contract length.
