About The Position

Volare Health is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist to improve residents’ lives and build relationships with patients and their families. The Occupational Therapist evaluates residents, develops treatment plans, obtains approval for services from the referring physician, and provides treatment according to the physician’s plan. The role also includes discharge planning, documenting evaluations and treatment, recording charges, and screening residents for potential benefit from occupational therapy.

Requirements

• Occupational Therapist licensure as outlined by the state Board of Occupational Therapy in the practicing state.

Responsibilities

• Screen and evaluate patients and develop programs for implementation as needed.
• Develop effective occupational therapy treatment plans and goals to meet each patient's needs.
• Obtain referring physician approval for services and treat residents according to the physician’s treatment plan.
• Participate in discharge planning.
• Record evaluations, treatment, and charges, completing documentation and billing accurately and promptly.
• Collaborate and communicate with other center team members to support optimal patient care and progress.
• Work toward attaining productivity benchmarks.
• Use effective problem-solving skills.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
