About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation Dallas, TX is opening a unique position within their therapy continuum. The Dallas campus has a 92 bed inpatient rehabilitation unit, a Day Neuro program, a Day spinal cord program (SCI Max) and 21 bed neuro transitional program. They are seeking PRN therapists that are willing to be cross trained in all 3 of these locations to be available to work at minimum one day per month either weekend or weekday. Therapists with experience in neurological rehabilitation or spinal cord injury are preferred, but they are open to therapists with at least 1 year of experience. Requirements

• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as an Occupational Therapist required
• Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment required

Nice To Haves

• Therapist with experience in neurological rehabilitation or spinal cord injury are preferred

Responsibilities

• Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements and modifies treatment plan in accordance with the patient’s need and physician direction.
• Responsible for delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients.
• Ensures the design of functional treatment programs allowing for an effective return to community activities.
• Serves as an educator of patients, families, students, co-workers and self.
• Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, development of discipline-specific therapy services and design of program delivery.
