About The Position

Vertis Therapy is hiring a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) for a full or part-time role in a beautiful, large Assisted & Independent Living community in Plant City, FL. Join a therapist-owned company where clinical quality, autonomy, and work-life balance come first. The Occupational Therapist will develop individualized treatment plans, provide skilled occupational therapy services, monitor patient progress, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team. The OT will also provide guidance and supervision to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) as appropriate.

Requirements

Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
Valid Occupational Therapist state license or license eligibility
Strong clinical assessment skills.
Proficient in developing and implementing effective treatment plans.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Ability to lift and assist clients as needed.
Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to therapy.
Computer proficiency to document in electronic medical record platform.

Nice To Haves

Current registration with the American Occupational Therapy Certification Board.

Responsibilities

Evaluate residents' functional abilities. Establish and execute a plan of care based on individual goals to improve resident's independence and quality of life.
Complete timely and accurate documentation.
Provide appropriate guidance and supervision to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants.
Participate or lead team development meetings.
Regularly lead community wide wellness programs and events.
