The State of Connecticut, Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join their team at Connecticut Valley Hospital (CVH) on the Learning Center Unit in Middletown, CT. This full-time position involves providing individual and group occupational therapy services to help clients build and maintain meaningful skills for daily life and recovery. Responsibilities include instruction in activities of daily living, independent living skills, sensorimotor skills, psychosocial skills, therapeutic adaptations, and specialized assessments. The role involves assessing clients, developing and implementing treatment activities consistent with physician prescriptions, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary treatment team to support individualized recovery goals.
