About The Position

The Occupational Therapist helps people of all ages participate in activities and occupations that are important to them. The role routinely serves individuals whose physical, cognitive, developmental, or emotional challenges affect their ability to perform everyday tasks. This position requires patient care and is based onsite at 1575 Cambridge Street, with a day shift schedule. The role is per diem, with 0 scheduled weekly hours. Requirements

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy; experience cannot substitute for the degree.
Required Occupational Therapist state license.
1–2 years of occupational therapist experience required.
Ability to work effectively with patients and co-workers.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Excellent time management skills.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

1–2 years of experience in a residential or assisted living setting, or a skilled nursing facility.

Responsibilities

Assess patients' physical, mental, and developmental abilities.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessments.
Implement and monitor treatment plans, adjusting them as needed.
Educate patients and families about therapeutic activities and exercises to do at home.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and physical therapists, to provide comprehensive care.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and progress notes.
Attend staff meetings, continuing education programs, and professional development activities to stay current with techniques and best practices.
