About The Position
Hayward Medical Center is seeking a dynamic Occupational Therapist to join their growing and progressive Rehab department. This role is crucial for delivering quality care to inpatients, outpatients, and care center residents. The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for patient evaluation, treatment planning, and administration of occupational therapy treatments, aiming to restore function, prevent injury, and help patients reach their maximum performance levels. The role also involves coordinating and supervising supportive staff, ensuring accurate patient charges and documentation, and communicating effectively with physicians, staff, and the administrative team. Participation in departmental and organizational educational programs is also required.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in Wisconsin as an Occupational Therapist
- Current BLS/CPR Certification.
- Knowledge of physical medicine, occupational therapy treatments, anatomy, and physiology

Responsibilities
- Responsible for evaluation, planning, directing and administering occupational therapy treatments.
- Administers treatments and physical agents in an effort to restore function and prevent injury.
- Assists patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities.
- Coordinates, delegates, and supervises responsibilities assigned to supportive staff
- Participates in operational aspects of the department
- Ensures that patient charges and documentation are accurate and entered on a timely basis.
- Communicates appropriately and clearly to physicians, staff, and administrative team.
- Participation in all required departmental and organization educational programs.
