About The Position
Pivot Rehabilitation is a therapy delivery and multi-faceted solution management company focused on improving health, advancing care, and lowering costs for aging populations. The Occupational Therapist provides therapy services to patients at the listed facilities and works with patients, families, and other team members to support patient independence and function. The role is PRN and is associated with Pivot at The Madison on Marsh in Carrollton, Texas, with additional listed facilities across the Dallas, Fort Worth, Texoma, and North Dallas regions.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited School of Occupational Therapy.
- Hold current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of current practice.
- Have good communication skills and relate professionally and positively to patients, patients’ family members, and staff.
- Be capable of performing the responsibilities of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
Responsibilities
- Screen, evaluate, and treat patients.
- Complete comprehensive evaluations using appropriate evaluation and assessment tools and procedures.
- Review patient records for current diagnoses, past medical history, precautions, and contraindications.
- Establish measurable goals and develop treatment plans to help patients reach their maximum level of independence and/or function.
- Supervise Occupational Therapist Assistants and rehabilitation technicians in direct patient care and patient-related activities in accordance with the state practice act.
- Interpret and communicate evaluation findings and treatment programs to patients, family members, and other team members.
