Home Health Occupational Therapist - Full Time
About The Position
Advantage Home Health Services is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist to provide home health services in State College, Pennsylvania, and surrounding areas. The Occupational Therapist provides physician-prescribed care to patients in their homes, supporting people of all ages who have physical disabilities and related psychological or cognitive impairments. The role focuses on developing adaptive skills and performance capacities, maximizing independence, preventing further disability, and maintaining health. The therapist also supervises Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and helps ensure rehabilitation services are delivered safely, with quality, and in accordance with applicable standards and regulations.
Requirements
- Must be licensed or eligible for licensure by the State Board of Occupational Therapy in the state where practicing.
Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services to patients as prescribed by a physician.
- Help individuals of all ages with physical disabilities and related psychological or cognitive impairments develop adaptive skills and performance capacities.
- Maximize patient independence, prevent further disability, and maintain health.
- Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and ensure the quality and safe delivery of rehabilitation services.
- Ensure occupational therapy services comply with applicable Federal, State, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, in support of the agency’s mission.
