About The Position
Adventist HealthCare Home Health is hiring an Occupational Therapist (OT) to service the Silver Spring, Rockville, or Southern Maryland Territory. We are seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing. The Occupational Therapist (OT) will communicate with team members, customers, and managers to coordinate the plan of care and provide an optimal patient experience. They will administer occupational therapy interventions and treatments according to agency policies and procedures, apply and implement appropriate therapy knowledge, and plan patient care with appropriate patient goals. The role also involves completing documentation requirements proficiently and in a timely manner, and assuming responsibility for personal and professional development. The OT will administer and supervise occupational therapy treatments to patients with a wide range of health problems under the direct orders of a physician/podiatrist and coordinate patient care with other skilled care providers to plan, implement, and access treatment programs.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher from an accredited occupational therapy program
- Maryland Occupational Therapy Licensure
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Valid driver’s license with agency insurance requirements
Nice To Haves
- One to three years’ experience preferred
- One year home care experience preferred
Responsibilities
