About The Position

BJC HealthCare System is hiring a Full-Time OR Advanced Modality Technologist for Barnes Jewish Hospital - Main Floor Plaza West Tower- General Radiology (St. Louis, MO). This role involves operating C-arms and O-arms, obtaining intra-op and post-op radiographic images using portable x-ray machines, and occasionally using the Radlink. The technologist will work in a core group of OR Advanced Modality Technologists. Barnes-Jewish Hospital is a large, highly-ranked hospital in Missouri, known for its advanced imaging equipment and pioneering work in radiology. The radiology department is considered one of the top five in the United States.

Requirements

• Associate degree or higher in related field
• Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography - R.T.(R)
• Associate or Trade School Equi
• No Experience

• IEMA - Illinois only, excl MRI
• RTR,CT,MR,M,BD,CI,VI,RCIS,RCES

Nice To Haves

• 1 year OR experience preferred, not required
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
• Intravenous Therapy

Responsibilities

• Operate C-arms and O-arms
• Obtain intra-op and post-op radiographic images using portable x-ray machines
• Occasionally use the Radlink
• Work in a core group of OR Advanced Modality Technologist
• Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality (defined as Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Interventional, Mammography, Bone Density, Cardiac Catheterization) on adults and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment, and quality control.
• Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.
• Performs studies independently, in on-call situations, portable exams, and other site as required by work area.
