About The Position

A full-time Occupational Therapist position is available in the sub-acute/skilled nursing rehabilitation department at Breakwater Commons, a newly built skilled nursing facility in Rockland, Maine. The facility provides post-acute rehabilitation, long-term care, and memory care. The therapist will provide individualized therapy to residents with diverse medical diagnoses in a collaborative, team-oriented setting, working with nurses, physicians, and other rehabilitation professionals. The work supports people recovering from illness or surgery, long-term residents, and residents with memory care needs.

Requirements

• Hold a current Occupational Therapist license or be license eligible to practice in the state of employment.
• Demonstrate strong computer skills with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Have experience with electronic documentation.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and timeliness with documentation.
• Work well with others in a team setting.
• Be flexible with hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive and compassionate therapy services in a sub-acute/skilled nursing facility setting.
• Work collaboratively with other rehabilitation therapists and nursing staff.
• Provide individualized therapy services to residents with diverse medical diagnoses.
• Document therapy services accurately and in a timely manner.
