About The Position
Collage Home and Community Rehabilitation Partners is seeking Occupational Therapists for PRN work in Forney, Texas, and surrounding areas. The organization provides neurological rehabilitation for people with traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, CVAs, and other neurological or complex orthopedic diagnoses in patients’ homes and communities. Occupational Therapists work one-on-one with patients as part of interdisciplinary teams that develop integrated treatment plans. Treatment is individualized, evidence-based, and practiced in functional home and community settings. Patients may be at any point on the continuum, from severe brain injury through job readiness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
- State licensure.
- Excellent planning, organization, writing, and time management skills.
- Ability to communicate with families, professionals, and coworkers.
Nice To Haves
- Professional certification or a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Experience treating neurologically related disorders.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat impairments involving upper extremity function, activities of daily living (ADLs), and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs).
- Evaluate and address visual and perceptual skills and cognitive needs.
- Evaluate and address adaptive equipment and assistive technology needs.
