Occupational Therapist-Neuro-PRN
About The Position
Collage Home and Community Rehabilitation Partners is seeking Occupational Therapists for PRN positions serving Arlington, Texas, and surrounding areas. The organization provides neurological rehabilitation for people with traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, CVAs, and other neurological or complex orthopedic diagnoses in patients’ homes and communities. Therapists work with interdisciplinary teams to create integrated treatment plans and provide individualized, one-on-one care. Treatment is practiced in patients’ homes and communities, using creative activities to support functional goals and an evidence-based approach intended to produce durable outcomes. Patients may be at any point on the continuum from severe brain injury to job readiness.
Requirements
- Completion of a bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy.
- State licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Excellent planning, organization, writing, and time-management skills.
- Ability to communicate with families, professionals, and coworkers.
Nice To Haves
- Professional certification or a master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Experience treating neurologically related disorders.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat impairments involving upper-extremity function, activities of daily living (ADLs), and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs).
- Evaluate and treat visual and perceptual skills and cognitive needs.
- Evaluate and address adaptive equipment and assistive technology needs.
