Occupational Therapist - Dover, DE
About The Position
FOX Rehabilitation is hiring licensed Occupational Therapists to provide one-on-one care to older adults in Dover, Delaware, and surrounding communities. Clinicians treat patients in private residences and senior living settings, including independent living, assisted living, and memory care, using FOX’s Geriatric House Calls™ model. The role focuses on improving patients’ mobility, independence, wellness, and quality of life through evaluations, individualized plans of care, and evidence-based treatment. Occupational Therapists manage their own treatment schedules and build ongoing relationships with patients. The work may include telehealth and other virtual care. Clinicians document in FOX’s EMR system and collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and fitness specialists. FOX offers full-time, part-time, and PRN/FOX Flex arrangements; benefits depend on eligibility. New graduates may participate in the Emerging Professionals Mentor Program.
Requirements
- Valid Occupational Therapy license in the state or states of practice, or eligibility to obtain one.
- Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
- Basic computer and EMR proficiency.
- Current CPR certification.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of in-home and community-based care, including lifting, performing CPR, assisting with patient transfers and bed mobility, repositioning patients, standing and walking for extended periods, climbing stairs, and performing therapeutic activities.
- Ability to drive to patient homes and senior living communities.
- Ability to wear PPE when required.

Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one occupational therapy to older adults in private residences and senior living communities, including independent living, assisted living, and memory care.
- Perform evaluations, develop individualized plans of care, and deliver evidence-based treatment.
- Deliver therapy sessions that support patient wellness, longevity, mobility, and functional independence.
- Document effectively in FOX’s EMR system in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of PTs, OTs, SLPs, and Fitness Specialists.
- Educate patients, caregivers, and senior living staff to promote safety, function, and aging in place.
- Provide telehealth or virtual care when appropriate.
- Create and manage an individual treatment schedule.
- Drive to patient homes and senior living communities as part of the Geriatric House Calls™ model.
