About The Position

The Occupational Therapist assesses and treats patients referred for occupational therapy in an effective and professional manner, adhering to Maryland State law and the American Occupational Therapy Association Code of Ethics. The therapist collaborates with physicians, medical professionals, staff, and families to ensure quality care and provides assessment and care to patients of all ages, from neonates through geriatric patients. Additional training may be required for special programs, procedures, or specified patient groups, as determined by department guidelines and best practices. The position supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital.

This is a full-time position at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, with a 40-hour workweek on the day shift. Weekend and holiday work is required according to department needs. The stated pay range is $39.47–$61.20 per hour; pay depends on experience, skills, education, and location.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school with an M.S. or B.S. degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Current licensure by the Maryland State Board.
• American Heart Association CPR certification within the six-month probationary period.
• Successful completion of at least six months of supervised, full-time fieldwork approved by the educational institution granting the degree.
• Adherence to the AOTA Code of Ethics.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays.
