About The Position
SSM Health Physical Therapy Day Institute is seeking an Occupational Therapist for its specialized outpatient rehabilitation program in O'Fallon, Illinois. The program serves individuals recovering from traumatic injury or illness who no longer need 24-hour nursing or acute rehabilitative care. It uses a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to build skills and maximize independence, with a focus on neurological and medically complex patients. The position is PRN, with a Monday–Friday schedule of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and a requirement of at least 60 shift hours per month. Tier II compensation is $45 per hour. Licensure in Illinois and Missouri is required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Current and valid state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as an Occupational Therapist; the posting specifies Illinois and Missouri licenses are required.
- Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
Responsibilities
- Implement high-quality occupational therapy services for patients, caregivers, and facilities with minimal supervision, in accordance with occupational therapy principles and practices and outpatient policies and procedures.
- Develop treatment plans, supervise assistants and aides, contribute to case management, and provide quality patient care.
- Maintain positive interactions with facilities and clients.
- Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.
