About The Position
SSM Health Physical Therapy Day Institute is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a specialized outpatient rehabilitation program in O'Fallon, Illinois. The program serves individuals recovering from traumatic injury or illness who no longer require 24-hour nursing or acute rehabilitative care. Its multidisciplinary approach focuses on building skills and maximizing independence. The role involves providing occupational therapy services to neurological and medically complex patients in a dynamic, collaborative environment. The posting lists PRN employment, Tier II compensation of $45 per hour, and a schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with at least 60 shift hours per month. Illinois and Missouri licensure is required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Current and valid state licensure, or eligibility for state licensure, as an Occupational Therapist; Illinois and Missouri licenses are required.
- Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
Responsibilities
- Implement high-quality occupational therapy services for patients, caregivers, and facilities, with minimal supervision and in accordance with occupational therapy principles and practices and outpatient policies and procedures.
- Develop treatment plans.
- Supervise assistants and aides.
- Contribute to case management and provide quality patient care.
- Maintain positive interactions with facilities and clients.
- Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.
