About The Position
Sage Group HealthCare Staffing is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) for a Long-Term Care (LTC) position in St Charles, MO. This is a travel/contract role open to both local candidates and travelers. The position is full-time, with a contract length of 13 weeks. The OT will provide all aspects of Occupational Therapy services, maintain patient records, supervise assistant/aide staff, design and fabricate splints, and administer treatment programs to improve patients' functioning. This includes using therapeutic exercises and activities to enhance strength, range of motion, and fine-motor coordination. The role also involves other duties within the scope of practice and may require floating to a nearby facility.
Requirements
- Occupational Therapist: 1-2 years - Required
- Recent/Current LTC or Rehab OT experience: Required
- OT License for State applying or Compact if applicable - Required
- BLS Certification from AHA - Required
Responsibilities
- Provides all aspects of Occupational Therapy services to the assigned case load
- Maintains timely and accurate patient records and reports
- Supervise Assistant / Aide staff as guided by governing board.
- Designs and fabricates splints as specified by doctors' prescriptions.
- Designs and administers treatment programs to increase patients' (residents) levels of functioning.
- Uses therapeutic exercises and activities to improve or maintain strength, range of motion, and fine-motor coordination.
- All other duties within scope and practice as assigned
- Must be willing to float to a facility nearby
