About The Position

Discovery at Home is hiring an Occupational Therapist to serve the Discovery Commons South Biscayne and Aston Gardens Pelican Point campuses in Sarasota County, Florida. Full-time is preferred, and part-time and PRN candidates will also be considered. Candidates requiring sponsorship to work in the United States are welcome to apply. New graduate OTs will receive dedicated support and mentorship. You will primarily work within assisted and independent living communities, with some home visits possible within the community. The patient population is primarily geriatric, with most cases covered under Medicare Part A Home Health along with some Part B. Clinicians have significant autonomy in determining their own caseload and daily schedule. Please note that employment in Florida is contingent upon completion of a Level 2 background screening in accordance with Florida AHCA requirements, including fingerprinting through the AHCA Clearinghouse.

Requirements

Graduation from an Occupational Therapy program.
State license as an Occupational Therapist (eligible for Florida state licensure).
Valid driver's license.
Reliable transportation.
Current CPR certification.
Candidates requiring sponsorship to work in the United States are welcome to apply.

Nice To Haves

Prior home health experience is preferred.
Full-time availability of 40 hours per week is preferred.
