About The Position

Pinellas County Rehabilitation Hospital is hiring a PRN Occupational Therapist for weekday and weekend shifts. The role independently evaluates patients, determines treatment strategies, and delivers or delegates services to identify, prevent, remediate, and rehabilitate impairments or limitations, with the goal of maximizing function in activities of daily living, leisure and recreation, and productivity or work. The therapist addresses dysfunction in psychosocial skills, cognition, and sensorimotor components. Interventions and procedures promote or enhance safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL), instrumental activities of daily living (IADL), education, work, play, leisure, and social participation.

The hospital opened in May 2026 and features 36 private patient rooms and two rehabilitation therapy gyms with cutting-edge technology. Pay is based on years of experience and qualifications.

Requirements

• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross; online certification is not acceptable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to meet strict time frames.

Nice To Haves

• Inpatient rehabilitation experience.
