About The Position

Powerback is hiring a full-time Occupational Therapist at The Ridge of Salinas, a 5-star CMS-rated skilled nursing facility with 103 certified beds. The role serves a diverse caseload that includes post-surgical rehabilitation, stroke recovery, substance abuse recovery, and specialized memory care. Treatment takes place in a dedicated, fully equipped gym and wellness room. The Occupational Therapist assesses patient needs, develops recovery plans, and delivers occupational therapy to restore, reinforce, and enhance patients’ physical abilities and independence. The role includes adapting care to individual needs, collaborating with peers, making referrals when appropriate, and training patients and caregivers in skills that promote independence and productivity.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by ACOTE standards.
Initial registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (OT).
Valid and unencumbered occupational therapy license as required in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

Assess patient needs.
