About The Position

FOX Rehabilitation is hiring licensed Occupational Therapists to provide one-on-one care to older adults in private residences and senior living communities in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, and surrounding communities. Using FOX’s Geriatric House Calls™ model, clinicians help patients improve mobility, independence, wellness, and quality of life. Care settings may include independent living, assisted living, and memory care communities. Clinicians may also incorporate telehealth and other virtual care into their schedules.

The role offers autonomy to create and manage a treatment schedule and build lasting patient relationships within a clinician-operated, interdisciplinary practice. FOX offers full-time, part-time, and PRN / FOX Flex opportunities. New graduates are eligible for the Emerging Professionals Mentor Program. Compensation depends on experience and employment type; eligible roles include benefits. Additional earning opportunities include referral incentives, clinical instruction, mentoring, supervision, care above quota, and content contributions.

Requirements

• Valid Occupational Therapy license in the state(s) of practice, or eligibility to obtain one.
• Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Basic computer and EMR proficiency.
• Current CPR certification.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of in-home and community-based care, including lifting, performing CPR, assisting with patient transfers and bed mobility, repositioning patients, standing and walking for extended periods, climbing stairs, and performing therapeutic activities.
• Ability to drive to patient homes and senior living communities.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one occupational therapy to older adults in private residences and senior living settings, including independent living, assisted living, and memory care.
• Perform evaluations, develop individualized plans of care, and deliver evidence-based treatment.
• Provide therapy that supports patient wellness, longevity, mobility, and functional independence.
• Document care in FOX’s EMR system in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and Fitness Specialists.
• Educate patients, caregivers, and senior living staff to promote safety, function, and aging in place.
• Provide telehealth or virtual care when appropriate.
• Travel by car to patient homes and senior living communities.
• Potentially supervise PTAs or OTAs, mentor emerging professionals, serve as a Clinical Instructor, and contribute written or social media content for additional compensation.
