About The Position
The Per Diem Occupational Therapist works in acute care as part of Hospital for Special Surgery’s occupational therapy team. The role contributes to improving mobility and quality of life by providing care to patients of all ages and backgrounds. After a physician referral, the occupational therapist evaluates each patient’s condition, determines an appropriate treatment plan, and establishes rehabilitation goals. The therapist also educates patients and their family members about current rehabilitation approaches.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Current New York State license.
- Outstanding communication skills.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Weekend coverage is required.
Nice To Haves
- At least two years of experience is preferred.
