About The Position

This is a fully remote Pediatric Telehealth Occupational Therapist (OT) position. The role involves providing meaningful therapy services to children and families from the comfort of the therapist's own professional workspace. The therapist will support children of various ages by helping them build independence in daily living skills, improve motor abilities, and develop the sensory, cognitive, and emotional skills they need to thrive. The position is part of a collaborative pediatric therapy team that values connection, quality care, and making a difference in the lives of children and families. It is an independent contractor telehealth opportunity designed for therapists who enjoy autonomy, flexibility, and the ability to manage their own caseload while still being connected to a supportive pediatric therapy team. Successful therapists in this role are confident providing the full scope of occupational therapy services through telehealth, including evaluations, treatment sessions, and ongoing patient care.

Requirements

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy required (unless transitioned into accreditation with a bachelor’s degree).
  • Active Occupational Therapy license in the state where services are provided (primarily Texas).
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Knowledge of pediatric developmental milestones and therapeutic techniques.
  • Comfortable using telehealth platforms and technology.
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach when working with children and families.
  • Professional and secure workspace for virtual therapy sessions.
  • Reliable internet connection.
  • Ability to work with a diverse population of children and families.
  • Successful completion of background check and reference requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior telehealth experience is preferred.
  • Pediatric occupational therapy experience preferred.
  • Telehealth experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Complete initial evaluations and required re-evaluations for patients on your caseload.
  • Develop individualized plans of care based on clinical findings, family goals, and patient needs.
  • Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy interventions through virtual platforms.
  • Help children improve functional skills and independence in daily activities.
  • Provide coaching, education, and strategies to families, caregivers, and teachers.
  • Help carry over therapeutic goals into home and community environments.
  • Track and document patient progress.
  • Adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Communicate updates with families and healthcare professionals.
  • Work alongside Speech Therapists, Physical Therapists, physicians, and other professionals to provide coordinated care.
