About The Position

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for evaluating patients' functional abilities and developing treatment plans to improve their ability to perform daily activities. This role involves working with patients of all ages to promote independence and enhance quality of life through therapeutic interventions.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program.
Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in occupational therapy, preferably in a home health or clinical setting.
Strong clinical reasoning and assessment skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations.

Responsibilities

Evaluate patients' physical and cognitive abilities through assessments.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results.
Implement therapeutic interventions to improve patients' functional skills.
Educate patients and caregivers on techniques to enhance independence.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care.
Document patient progress and maintain accurate records in EMR system.
Adapt treatment plans as needed to meet changing patient needs.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
Participate in agency-sponsored in-services and maintain professional competency.
Promote the agency’s philosophy and administrative policies.
