Occupational Therapist - Children's MH Services
About The Position
The Edinburg Center is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist within Children’s Mental Health Services providing services to youth under the age of 21 with mental health needs in their homes. The Occupational Therapist works as part of a multidisciplinary team including Social Workers/Mental Health Clinicians, Outreach Staff, Young Adult Peer Mentor, and Family Partner. Provide therapy to youth and young adults in the areas of sensory integration, fine and gross motor skills, social skills, and self-care skills within the professional scope of practice. This role will provide assessment and direct treatment, as well as consultation.
Requirements
- Earned an Occupational Therapy degree from an accredited institution.
- Licensed as an OT-L.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with a pediatric population.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Flexible schedule.
- Valid MA driver’s license.
- Reliable transportation required.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience working with youth with serious emotional and behavioral health disturbances and their families.
- SIPT certification.
