About The Position

Helen M. Simpson Rehabilitation Hospital, a partnership between UPMC and Select Medical, is seeking a Per Diem Occupational Therapist. Requirements

Current and valid state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
Certified BLS or completion within the first 90 days of employment.
Post-offer employment testing (POETs) must be completed as part of the onboarding process before the first day of work.

Responsibilities

Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans according to patient needs and physician direction.
Responsible for delegating and directing all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients.
Ensures the design of functional treatment programs that facilitate an effective return to community activities.
Serves as an educator for patients, families, students, co-workers, and self.
Performs other professional duties related to patient care, the development of discipline-specific therapy services, and program delivery design.
