About The Position
SSM Health Rehabilitation- Acute Care at St. Mary's Health Center in Richmond Heights, MO is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist. SSM Health Rehabilitation Network is a leading provider of comprehensive rehabilitation services in the St. Louis area, delivering specialized care and advanced treatment for individuals with a wide range of conditions including stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, neurological disorders, amputation, joint replacement and other orthopedic trauma, and general medical rehabilitation needs. SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital - St. Louis is a two-time winner of the Premier Award for Quality, a Level II Time Critical Diagnosis STEMI Center, and specializes in high-risk pregnancy care and fetal surgery. They also have a chest pain center, certified stroke center, and comprehensive imaging and outpatient services.
Requirements
- Valid state license or eligibility for state license as a Occupational Therapist
- Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment

Responsibilities
- Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements and modifies treatment plan in accordance with the patient’s need and physician direction
- Responsible for delegation and direction of all discipline specific therapy services for those assigned patients
- Ensures design of functional treatment programs allowing for effective return to community activities
- Serves as an educator of patients, families, students, coworkers and self.
- Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, development of discipline specific therapy services and design of program delivery
