Acute Therapy Occupational Therapist

MultiCare Health SystemCovington, WA
Onsite

About The Position

The Occupational Therapist position at MultiCare is an exciting opportunity responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing occupational therapy services for in-patients and outpatients referred for Occupational Therapy. With varied and dynamic day-to-day functions, you will apply your service orientation, analysis, and good judgment toward ensuring comprehensive occupational therapy care for patients. The employee must be self-driven, outcomes oriented, and able to demonstrate quality work within a fast-paced environment, so as to meet productivity as it aligns with our stewardship value. A good candidate is also someone who has optimal time management skills, is highly collaborative, and able to see the “big picture”. Strong inter-disciplinary communication is required. MultiCare utilizes EPIC for all electronic medical records. Department productivity standard is currently 69% for 8-hour day with expectation of 7-9 patients seen per day. All employees are expected to cross-cover both Auburn and Covington Medical Centers, so training occurs for both sites in the first month or two. Per diem staff are also expected to work a minimum of 1 holiday per year and be able to complete mandatory education/training during non-shift hours, but on the clock. New Employee Orientation process is very rigorous for the first few weeks to a month (and would likely require some time off from an alternate position), and certain aspects are mandatory with regard to schedule.
