Requirements

Current Ohio Occupational Therapist license, or eligibility for Ohio licensure
Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and teamwork skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team
Flexibility to support changing department and patient care needs

Nice To Haves

Acute care experience preferred
Experience in outpatient adult and/or pediatric therapy is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

Providing occupational therapy evaluations and treatment in the acute care hospital setting
Supporting weekend therapy coverage, primarily Saturdays and volume-dependent Sundays
Assessing activities of daily living, functional cognition, safety awareness, mobility-related function, and discharge needs
Collaborating with nursing, care management, providers, and other therapy disciplines
Supporting patient-centered discharge recommendations
Documenting care in accordance with department, regulatory, and billing standards
Providing weekday support in acute care or outpatient therapy as needed and appropriate
Potentially covering outpatient adult and/or pediatric therapy needs based on demonstrated competence
