About The Position

AB Staffing is seeking dedicated Occupational Therapists (OTs) for the 26/27 school year to work in multiple locations across Arizona. This contract position follows the school district calendar, offering 40 hours per week in elementary, middle, and high school settings. The role involves evaluating patients, developing individualized plans of care, and providing competent care using various therapeutic methods to manage pain, increase mobility, and prevent further injury. OTs will build positive relationships with students, communicate effectively with the healthcare team and physicians, document patient care, and maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy from an accredited college or university
Must possess or be eligible for an Occupational Therapist License in the State of Arizona.
At least one year of relevant work experience in a school and/or pediatric setting(s) preferred.
BLS/CPR Cert.
Physical ability to meet job demands (e.g., standing, sitting, lifting up to 40 lbs)

Responsibilities

Evaluate patients by observing their movements, performing standardized tests, and listening to their concerns to establish an individualized plan of care.
Provide competent care rendered to patients.
Use exercises, stretching, equipment, modalities, and hands-on therapy to manage patients' pain, increase mobility, and prevent further pain and injury.
Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with patients and motivate them to reach their goals.
Provide continuity of care by communicating pertinent patient information with the rehab team, physicians, and other disciplines as needed.
Document all patient care in accordance with department policies.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; and adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
