About The Position

AB Staffing is seeking dedicated Occupational Therapists (OTs) for the 26/27 school year to work in multiple locations across Arizona. This contract position follows the school district calendar, offering a 40-hour work week in elementary, middle, and high school settings. The role involves evaluating patients, developing individualized plans of care, and providing therapeutic interventions to manage pain, increase mobility, and prevent further injury. OTs will utilize exercises, stretching, equipment, and modalities, while also demonstrating strong interpersonal skills to motivate patients and collaborate with the rehab team, physicians, and other disciplines. Maintaining a safe and clean environment and adhering to infection-control protocols are also key responsibilities.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy from an accredited college or university.
Must possess or be eligible for an Occupational Therapist License in the State of Arizona.
AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card.
BLS/CPR Cert.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of relevant work experience in a school and/or pediatric setting(s) preferred.

Responsibilities

Evaluate patients by observing their movements, performing standardized tests, and listening to their concerns to establish an individualized plan of care.
Competent care rendered to patients.
Use exercises, stretching, equipment, modalities, and hands-on therapy to manage patients' pain, increase mobility, and prevent further pain and injury.
Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with patients and motivate them to reach their goals.
Provide continuity of care by communicating pertinent patient information with the rehab team, physicians, and other disciplines as needed.
Document all patient care in accordance with department policies.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; and adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
