About The Position

EPIC Rehabilitation and Nursing at White Plains is a beautiful, top-rated 160-bed skilled nursing & rehabilitation center that opened in 2020. We are looking for an Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our family of facilities in New York State. Our goal is to rehabilitate patients and successfully return them to their lives. For those who reside permanently, we aim to create the best possible environment while optimizing their quality of life. The Occupational Therapist, OT is responsible for assisting in planning, organizing, developing, and implementing Occupational Therapy services in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, as directed by the Director of Rehabilitation and/or the Administrator, to assure the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times. The OT must possess the ability to plan, develop, organize, evaluate, and implement the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the occupational therapy program to help residents obtain/maintain their highest level of physical, mental, and social well-being. The OT will interpret and/or instruct in physical therapy policies and procedures to personnel, residents, family members, etc., as necessary. The OT will participate in discharge planning, development and implementation of resident care plans, resident assessments (MDS), etc., as necessary. The OT will supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants as required. The OT will maintain treatment records, resident files, and progress notes as required and maintain an adequate liaison with families and residents.

Requirements

  • Must possess a current license and registration to practice as an Occupational Therapist, OT in the State of NY.
  • Must possess current malpractice insurance.
  • License in good standing.

Responsibilities
