About The Position

Aspire Senior Living New Florence is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist to join its rehabilitation department on a per diem basis. The therapist will help residents maintain independence, address physical and cognitive challenges, and achieve personal goals. The role involves individualized assessments and treatment, group and individual therapy, coordination with an interdisciplinary team, and accurate clinical documentation. The position is located in New Florence, Missouri.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OTR) in Missouri.
• Experience in occupational therapy; experience in a senior living setting is preferred.
• One year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement individualized occupational therapy plans for residents, including residents with cognitive and physical impairments.
• Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify strengths and areas of need, then develop interventions to promote functional ability and independence.
• Develop and lead group and individual therapy sessions using evidence-based techniques and strategies.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and communication.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of patient progress and treatment plans.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to clinical policies and procedures.
